the seventh son…

greetings from sin city! las vegas, nevada. home of big dreams, big debt, and bi-annual circuses tradeshows. i’m gonna skip all the photos and usual bloggery for now in favor of just featuring my new favorite brand.
i’ve been following maiden noir for the past 18 months or so. grown man wear that i could get into literally everday, and not get tired of. keep an eye out for it at ubiq, and thank you to krista for the kind words, and open hospitality!
more trade show jibber jabber coming soon.
craze.

kinda crazy to see someone with a tattoo of something you designed. something that came out YOUR head, on someone’s leg, forever. crazy. and i don’t even know the guy.
nerd party

well i didnt stand in line, but i’m way more excited for this than the iphone. if you can’t get through to me, or my phone is turned off… now you know why. see you in a few days.
good job DOOD!

woah, crazy! 10 years after i left southern lehigh high school with diploma, my little brother Daniel has gotten his. the scenery changed (they hold it in the new gymnasium, as well as the auditorium), and the kids are different (two of them pulled for drunken misconduct) but it’s still the same basic drill. sit around for ever waiting for it to start.. grab some pics of your graduate as they enter, then sit and wait for ages as everyone talks (some better than others) and then everyone goes up alphabetically for their fake diploma.
i do like the addition of the giant powerpoint presentation though. but i maybe would’ve used something other than papyrus for the font, and maybe thrown a projection of a video feed for the MASSIVE elderly section they had there.
Good job Dan! I can’t wait for the next one at Pratt.
more “news”…
wow. my last entry was over a month ago. gross. here’s some more on why it took a month to get around to this.
the store opening date is now may 4th. if all goes to plan, hell will probably freeze over, and we will open on time. our contractors will actually work, things will get painted, it’ll be amazing. don’t hold you breath. this is the 4th date for the opening. im not pessimistic about it, but i’m certainly not putting any more faith in our contractors.
the party is now may 25th. this will stay the same. the store will be open by then. ?uestlove will dj… it should be rad. youre all still invited.
i met eric elms the other day. it was cool. he’s a rad dude. he did some work for us, you should come to the store and see it. if we ever open, that is.
i have a new blog that i’m going to launch at some point. i’ve been taking a picture at each incremental 100 mile mark in my car to chronicle where i go (or don’t go). whenever i get a free minute, i’ll put that together.
i’m going on vacation for the first time in 2 years in 3 days. for about 5 days. not much time, but it will be well enjoyed. especially since it’s right in the thick of the craziness going on at work. (it was originally planned to be a week after everything was done).
freelance is just barely starting to slow down. which is comforting, but not to my wallet. it could also be picking up in the near future too. we’ll see.
that’s it for now… back to work.
news you may or may not want to use…
since i am more and more the worlds best/prolifiic blogger these days… i thought i’d jot down a few things on my mind to help you know what i’m up to…. in no particular order…
i bought a new car. it rules.
i’m working with chris edwards on a project.. the other day when we’re ending the call with each other.. he said “ok.. have a good night, i love you man”. awesome. no homo.
i havent turned my tv on in about 3 weeks. i like that.
my work is driving me crazy.
i got eames bearbricks for my birthday. they rule. i also got rugged floor mats for my car. they rule even more. buying things for my car will probably become my new hobby.
the party for the opening of our store is may 18th. youre invited.
thats all for now…
oscar torrents….
having had a pretty hectic october/november/december in 06.. including theft, late office hours, travelling, and the holidays… i only got to see ONE of the best picture nominations for this year’s oscars.
little miss sunshine was easy to see 1 and a half times in the summer, (the fire alarm went off halfway into it, and we had to come back the next day). babel and children of men were both on my list of things to do, but i never got around to it with my lady.
and so.. i present to you oscar torrents. i fairly decent representation of torrent links to get you what you need to see the movies before award night next month. all industry hubbub, and politicking aside, these are in fact usually the better big studio movies to see. and its nice having them all in one place.
while seemingly obvious.. i should note that a bunch of these are already on dvd, so if you’re inclined to do so, just go ahead and rent some good entertainment.
hurt me moooooore…
there’s a vague enough headline for you metal gear people. thanks go to my own personal gray fox himself, ben, for the headsup on the joystiq blurb. this will absolutely become a part of my mgs collection. i’m emailing the supplier as soon as i’m done with this post. click the pic for more model shots on the konami site.
wooof!

i wish this was black. cause my brand new video ipod would look REAL NICE in there.
RAD!…. literally.
on friday morning. our vans rep came for a visit to show us the late summer line. i had seen the catalog shots of this shoe a few weeks ago, but i was really hoping to see them in person. he didn’t let me down!
